Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 June 2026
These terms govern your use of Mop (“the Service”), the website-building platform available at usemop.com and on subdomains of usemop.com. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
1. The Service
Mop provides hosted websites for cleaning businesses, including a setup wizard, an instant-quote calculator, local landing pages, and a lead inbox. We host your site at the subdomain you choose (and, where offered, at a custom domain you connect).
2. Beta status
The Service is currently in beta and provided free of charge. During the beta: features may change, be added or be withdrawn; availability is not guaranteed; and we may impose fair-use limits. We will give existing users reasonable notice before introducing charges, and published founding-user pricing commitments will be honoured.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and using the Service for business purposes. One business per site; you may create multiple sites for multiple businesses you operate.
4. Your content and your customers
You retain all rights to the content you add (text, prices, photos, branding). You grant us a licence to host, display and process that content solely to operate the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content, including that you have rights to any photos you upload and that your prices and claims comply with UK consumer law. Lead data submitted by your visitors belongs to your business; we process it on your behalf under our Data Processing Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- publish unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing content;
- impersonate another business or person;
- send spam or unsolicited marketing in breach of PECR/UK GDPR;
- upload malicious code or attempt to compromise the platform or other tenants;
- scrape, resell or white-label the Service without our written agreement.
We may suspend or remove sites that breach these rules, normally with notice unless the breach is serious.
6. Availability and support
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided “as is” without uptime guarantees, particularly during beta. Support is provided by email at hello@usemop.com.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. On request we will export your lead data in a portable format before deletion. We may terminate accounts that breach these terms or that remain unpublished and inactive for over 12 months, with 30 days’ email notice where practicable.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under English law (including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence). Otherwise, the Service is a website tool: we are not responsible for the conduct of your business, the quality of your services, contracts between you and your customers, or loss of profits, revenue or data arising from use of the Service. While the Service is free, our total aggregate liability is limited to £100; once paid plans launch, it is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email or in the admin dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
